- A: You will need to access the Internet through your ISP or company/campus network to use our service.
- Q: Do you provide free software to connect to your servers?

- Q: Does your solution work in order to bypass a blocked port in a firewall?
- A: Yes, with Anonymous Proxy Server Net you will get full uncensored access to the Internet with no content filtering, no port blocks.
- Q: Can I use VoIP through the Anonymous Proxy Server Net VPN (VoIP is blocked by my ISP)?
- A: Yes, VoIP applications will work through the VPN.
- Q: Will I get a real IP address?
- A: Yes, we provide real (not NATed) IP addresses for our customers.
- Q: Is there a bandwidth limit per day or month?
- A: Our customers are free to use full our bandwidth and we do not limit customers download.
- Q: When I browse the Internet using your VPN, what IP address do others see? I don't want webmasters to know I'm using anonymous proxy.
- A: WHOIS search result on our anonymous IP addresses will show details of one of our low profile domains. The domain itself does not point to any anonymizing service.

- Will the service allow me to exchange Bit Torrents anonymously without being traced?
- Is it possible to use ssh & sftp through your service?
- Does your VPN supports online gaming?
- A: Yes. Anonymous Proxy VPN connection can be compared to anonymous "virtual" dialup service through the existing Internet connection. Once connected through the VPN all Internet traffic going to/from your computer will be encrypted and any application using Internet installed will use new anonymous IP address without additional reconfiguration.
- Q: How your anonymous proxy service differs from SSH tunneling and Socks?
- A: Our services are more universal in nature and allow to make anonymous ALL Internet traffic, while SSH tunneling or Socks proxy (offered by our competitors) works with few protocols only.
- Q: Do you provide free anonymous proxy list?
- A: No, we do not provide free anonymous proxy list. We believe VPN technology is much more secure and reliable than using open public proxies.
- Q: Do you provide dynamic IP? How often would my IP address change while using the Anonymous Proxy Server Net services.
- A: IP addresses are assigned dynamically by our servers. We have a pool of IP addresses we assign for the clients. This means that when you connect, you will be assigned one of these IPs, sometime they will be the same. If you disconnect and then reconnect within a short time, your IP address will be the same, most likely. Actually the IP addresses assignment is unpredictable.
- Q: Would it be possible for you to provide a static IP address?
- A: Static IP address allocation is available on request. Please contact our support staff to request a static IP.

- Q: Can you prevent my Internet provider from watching which sites I am visiting?
- A: Your ISP/company IT staff will not be able to intercept, log or monitor your Internet activities when data transfer go through the Anonymous Proxy VPN connection.
- Q: I use Yahoo web mail for correspondence and my real IP address appears in the message headers. When using your service, is it possible to hide it?
- A: Yes, your ISP network details like IP address will be hidden when using any free mail service through the VPN.
- Q: You secure all internet traffic through the VPN tunnel; does this mean you encrypt IP packets regardless of the applications that generated them?
- A: Yes, that's exactly what VPN software will do once you are connected to our servers.
- Q: Will I be able to access the secure HTTPS websites without compromising the transmission of sensitive information I will send to a particular site?
- A: Since HTTPS encryption occurs between your browser and secure web server, nobody will be able to intercept the connection. As any other traffic passed through the VPN connection HTTPS connection will be additionally encrypted by VPN, and only new anonymous IP address will be visible on other side.
- Q: Is it easy to install your software?

- Q: Where are your servers located?
- A: Our servers are located in Toronto, Canada. Offshore location (Bahamas) is available at request.
- Q: What operating systems does your VPN software support?
- A: VPN software can be installed on Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Mac OS X, Linux and FreeBSD.
- Q: What impact does the Anonymous Proxy Server Net VPN have on downloading performance?
- A: : Some slowdown takes place and is normal because any anonymizing service makes the data packets travel two times the same distance at least. Also the VPN protocol has the overhead of its own. The encryption adds the delay as well. Certain slowdown is the reverse side of any anonymizing technology, unfortunately.
- Q: Will the VPN work through the cell phone link?
- A: Yes, you may use your computer/notebook with GSM/GPRS/EDGE or 3G Internet connection to connect to our VPN servers.

- Q: What VPN technology do you use?
- A: We use IPSec VPN.
- Q: How do you handle cookies and java? Will the VPN software be able to keep the referrer URL and cookies?
- A: VPN software does not control cookies/Java or referrer URL. We leave decision about using cookies/Java to our customers; you can easily control your browser behavior configuring its settings.
- Q: I want to access a site that requires Java and ActiveX to be turned on in my software. As I understand it, doing so can breach information about who I am. Will the Anonymous Proxy Server Net VPN (when turned on) allow me to access a site requiring Java and ActiveX to be on, without revealing who I am?
- A: Java or ActiveX control can detect real IP address in case it is specially designed to do so.
It detects the IP and passes it as a part of request to the server. When VPN is on, your IP cannot be detected by server, it will see only VPN tunnel endpoint IP address. If you are using NAT firewall on your network and run VPN it will be impossible to detect a real IP.
- Q: Would I be relying on my personal firewall for defense against potential threats to my system?
- A: VPN software does not include firewall. It is recommended to use personal firewall software (or operating system build-in firewall) to protect your computer.
- Q: Can I use multiple VPN connections at the same time?
- A: VPN account cannot be shared. Only one active connection can be associated with one account at a time. You will need multiple accounts to run VPN on different computers simultaneously.
- Q: Can your VPN software be turned ON and OFF as desired?
- A: Yes, you may turn on/off anonymity mode by one click.

- Q: Can Anonymous Proxy Server Net services be utilized from a library computer or cybercafe?
- A: You will need to install the VPN software on computer in order to use our services. It is not possible on a library or cybercafe computers in most cases.
- Q: Will your service work in Europe?
- A: Service functionality does not depend on your geographic location. All you need is a computer connected to the Internet.
- Q: If I subscribe to your service, is it possible for someone to find my past activity, activity that I generated from my computer before I used your service?
- A: You may delete information stored locally on your hard drive like cookies, web history, old email messages, etc. But you cannot modify information stored in web sites logs you have visited, or email message headers you have sent.
2. Anonymous Proxy Server Privacy Policy/Terms of Service
- Q: Do you keep logs of customer activity? And if so how long do you keep them?
- A: We collect no logs or customer data beyond what is required for performance tuning and security monitoring of our servers. This data does not have any information, which can identify a customer or customers' personal usage and Internet activities conducted. Any such data is analyzed only statistically, and is destroyed soon thereafter. Please read our [Privacy Policy . . . »] for more details.
- Q: In case of judiciary process, are you obliged to reveal the identity of your customer?
- A: We do not log anything related to the client's activity/identity. We have nothing to produce even if we are requested to do so.
- Q: Is Anonymous Proxy Server Net, or any corporation who has a financial interest in Anonymous Proxy Server Net, affiliated with or funded, either directly or indirectly, by any law enforcement agency or government agency?
- A: No, it is not.
- Q: Can you please explain in simple terms what is not allowed?
- A: We care about netiquette (spam abuse, hacking) mostly. Here is a list of the things we do not tolerate:
- sending commercial advertisements and mass email messages of any kind;
- obtaining unauthorized access to any network or a computer;
- credit card fraud;
- child pornography distribution.
Any account breaching these simple requirements will be terminated with no refund.
- Q: Do you allow bulk mailing?
- A: No, we do not.
3. Billing questions
- Q: How will be my credit card charged if I subscribe using one year monthly billing option?
- A: We have the following monthly credit card billing policy: USD 9.95 will be charged to the subscriber's credit card at signup covering the cost of 30 days service period. After 30 days period, the first rebill of USD 9.95 will be charged. Rebilling will then automatically recur every 30 days until expired after 12 month period or canceled by customer.
- Q: How will be my credit card charged if I subscribe using, for example, 6 month billing option?
- A: In case you will subscribe for 1/3/6/12 month service without monthly payment option, your credit card will be charged only once. Account will be deactivated automatically when subscription term ends.
- Q: How can I cancel the monthly subscription?
- A: Recurring (monthly) billing for 1 year account can be canceled at any time.
Account will remain active until the paid period ends. Subscription cancellation can be done through the web interface at our payment processor site, or by sending a request to our [Support Staff . . . »].
- Q: How do I renew my subscription?
- A: We do not store customer credit card/billing details for privacy reasons. To continue using service after the account has expired, please re-subscribe through our [Payment page . . . »]. After you re-subscribe you will receive new username/password.
- Q: Do you offer discount for bulk account purchase?
- A: We offer 15% discount on bulk account purchase (5 or more accounts). You may contact our [billing department] to get a custom invoice for credit card payment.
- Q: Do you offer trial accounts?
- A: We do not provide free trial accounts. You may subscribe to one month account. If you subscribe and cannot use the service due to technical problems we will refund the fees. Please read our [Refund Policy].

- Q: How can I pay anonymously?
- A: You may choose Western Union money order as most anonymous and convenient payment option.
- Q: What is your refund policy?
- A: Refunds will be considered if received within 7 days from the purchase date and will be considered for technical problems resulting in you not being able to use the Anonymous Proxy Server service. Online help customer support must receive notification of the problem and be given the opportunity to fix the problem within a reasonable time frame before a refund will be considered.
After 7 days from the date of purchase refunds may be considered. This will be done at the discretion of the company.
